What is DIY peer-to-peer fundraising?
In do-it-yourself (DIY) peer-to-peer fundraising, you decide which fundraising activity you’d like your friends and family to support. You share your story, and you create and share your personal fundraising page.
How do I make a gift in support of a fundraiser?
The easiest way to make a gift is online via the fundraiser’s personal page. Did you receive an email with a link to the fundraising page? Simply click “donate” on that page to make a gift. Or you can search for an individual fundraiser or a team by name.
Will I receive a receipt for my donation?
Yes. You will receive an email confirmation of your gift with an attached PDF of your tax receipt. Please keep a copy of the email and tax receipt for your records.
Can I donate by check?
Yes. Please make your check payable to Mercy For Animals and mail it to this address:

Do you accept corporate matching gifts?
Yes. Please check with your company’s human resources department to verify that they match gifts to animal protection organizations and to obtain a matching-gift form to complete. If you make your gift online, please include a copy of your gift receipt when you submit the completed matching-gift form to Mercy For Animals.

Great! Start a fundraiser by first selecting which type of fundraiser you would like to do. Then, kickstart your fundraising with a $5 gift to unlock email functionality in your participant center.

Good Move™ is a mobile fundraising app that enables you to stay connected and record your everyday healthy activities on an interactive leaderboard to raise money to support Mercy For Animals’ mission.
How do I get involved?
Visit our registration page to learn more and sign up. You’ll receive two emails. One is your confirmation email, and the other is your invitation to join our event on Good Move™. Download the Good Move™ app, enter your one-time passcode, and you’re in!
How do I set up my personal page?
First, log in to your participant center. Select the “personal page” tab. In addition to your name and a photo, we recommend that you include a personal message to share why you are fundraising for Mercy For Animals.

Image files should be gif, jpg, or png. The maximum file size is 4 MB.

I want to share my fundraising page with my friends and family by email. How can I do that?
It’s easy! Log in to your participant center to send an email.To unlock the email functionality, give a $5 gift. You can personalize the email template provided there. Share your story to make your email more effective, and send it to your friends and family. A link to your personal fundraising page will be included in the email.
What happens if I don’t meet my fundraising goal?
The fundraising goal is a target. Meeting or exceeding it is cause for celebration. If you don’t meet it, starting your own fundraiser is still something to be proud of. There is no penalty—we’ll be grateful for your efforts!

Is there a fee for creating a fundraiser and a personal page?
No, there is no registration fee, but you may wish to make a personal donation to get your fundraiser rolling.
How can I check my personal fundraising total?
You can log in to your participant center to check on the progress of your fundraising efforts. Online donations are automatically processed and added to your fundraising total. You can also thank your supporters and send them updates on your efforts while logged in.
How can I thank my supporters?
It’s easy! Log in to your participant center, and send an email to your supporters. We have provided a template to get you started. Personalize the message to make it more effective.
